Produced by Bandai Spirits, this figure comes from the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket. The MS-18E Kampfer is a heavy assault mobile suit developed by the Principality of Zeon during the final days of the One Year War. It was deployed by the Cyclops Team during Operation Rubicon, an assault on a Federation research base in Side 6. Designed for hit-and-run tactics, its armor was sacrificed for extreme speed and mobility, earning it the German name "Kämpfer," meaning "fighter."
This METAL BUILD release is supervised by original mechanical designer Yutaka Izubuchi. The figure features die-cast alloy parts throughout, finished with multiple plating processes that deliver a realistic metallic texture and weight. The coloring and markings were reconsidered under Izubuchi's supervision, resulting in a realistic finish distinct from previous METAL BUILD releases. Its blue armor and streamlined high-mobility thruster design faithfully capture the iconic silhouette of the mobile suit as seen in the anime.
